The feedback from the Life in the Spirit (LITS) seminars has been very positive so far and indeed there is so much going on in the parish at present that it was decided to postpone the Tom Herron seminars until later in the year. It was agreed that Mount St Catherine’s school is an excellent venue and the parish is grateful to Mr Peter Gildea and St staff of the school for allowing us to host the LITS there. The 5 members of the PPC who had attended the evening in Keady to discuss marriage and the family felt that it was a worthwhile venture and a positive step forward in consulting with the laity. Fr Peter, Caroline, Eleanor and the Draw Committee were thanked for the tremendous work they had done in promoting the Parish Draw. Discussion continued around celebrating the Year of Consecrated Life and the necessity of involving religious currently working in the parish. Adult Faith Group has the bulk of the work to do on this but all sub groups will help out. The Liturgy group is working on prayers for the 24 Hours for the Lord, Youth is looking at a mass to celebrate newly married couples and Witness and Outreach on a mass to celebrate those older couples with milestone anniversaries. Both groups are eager to do something to recognise and celebrate marriage. We remembered again in prayer our colleague Margaret who is in hospital.
