“Celebrating Family Life”
As we continue to prepare for the World Meeting of Families 2018, a special evening of celebration for all families in our parish will take place in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh on Thursday 10 May at 7.30pm. All families in our parish are encouraged to make a special effort to attend this special celebration, as we come together to give thanks for all of what’s good about family life and to pray God’s blessing on all our homes and families. As part of the celebration, special prayers will be offered for family members who are doing exams in the coming weeks.
All families are invited to bring along a small picture of their family and place it in the Sacred Space in the sanctuary of the Cathedral on the evening. These pictures will be pieced together to make our “Parish Family Collage” and it will hang in the Cathedral in the coming months and all of the families will be remembered in prayer as we continue to look forward to the World Meeting of Families. All families who attend on the evening will also be given a ticket and a draw will be made as part of the evening for two families to attend the World Meeting of Families in Dublin in August of this year.
All families are encouraged to make a special effort to join for this special evening of celebration. A special invitation is extended to all young people throughout our Parish and they’re encouraged to attend what promises to be a very uplifting and memorable evening for all.
